Hearing news of a rather large group of fundamentalist preachers descending on City Hall in San Francisco to not only admonish Mayor Gavin Newsom and pressure him to repent (he refused), but also to unfurl a large banner with the “We All Agree” message portrayed above, caused a torrent of emotion to stir within me. It incenses me to no end whenever I am personally approached by those who see it as their job to tell me what “our God” has in mind for all of us mere mortals here on Earth. It is very satisfying to indulge my desire to see the heavenly spirit I believe exists sending a reply to those who feel comfortable using religion and the Word of God to justify fear, intolerance and condemnation of fellow human beings who are guilty of nothing more than wanting to be treated fairly and equally in the eyes of the law.
