Funny how campaign promises fall by the wayside when one is confronted with the realities of that into which they have just flung themselves. Perhaps as a tribute to his now pal and former governor Gray Davis, Arnold recently hinted that higher taxes may not be so far off the table as he would have had us believe. For a novice politico, Arnold handles his about-faces and flip-flops as smoothly as the best of them. The turmoil and uncertainty portrayed in my cartoon may be better attributed to his conservative supporters who are just along for the ride; although, I like to think even the Governator has his moments.
